Tokyo Drifter

£24.00

A homage to a 1966 game-changing work by Seijun Suzuki. A unique and unconventional entry in crime cinema that stylistically would have a considerable effect on cinema in successive decades, in and outside of Japan, while turning familiar tropes normally found in MGM westerns on their head. I was planning this when I heard that Tetsuya Watari, the film’s protagonist, had passed. I hope that I did him some justice here.

Watercolours / Digital Treatment

Printed A2 size on 250gsm matte paper.

Signed, numbered and shipped in a sturdy, plastic-capped cardboard tube.

Limited edition of 100.
