The Killing of a Chinese Bookie
What Mean Streets did with seventies New York several years earlier, this film undoubtedly layers an NY grit-wash over seventies Los Ángeles (Coney Island Baby and Marquee Moon were on repeat while I was painting this)...
I basically wanted to use water colours to try and capture the impressionistic, verite nature of this film, along with the multi-processed printing technique.
Watercolour / Print / Digital Treatment
Printed A2 size (59x42cm) on 250gsm matte paper.
Signed, numbered and shipped in a sturdy, plastic-capped cardboard tube.
Limited edition of 100.
